Colgin Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

An open-throttle Cabernet. Delightfully supple, creamy and layered, this is intense while caressing, with gorgeous pure currant, black cherry, blackberry and plummy Cabernet fruit that's powerful and potent, yet graceful and refined. Best from 2010 through 2018. 250 cases made. (JL)
Colgin Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Herb Lamb Vineyard 2005

Score: 97 Shows amazing purity of fruit, focus, balance and depth, with tiers of spicy currant, anise, hazelnut, mineral and melted licorice, combining power with finesse and grace with intensity. Ends with a long, lingering finish that keeps repeating the core flavor themes. Best fromt 2010 through 2019. 110 cases made. (JL)
Colgin Cariad Napa Valley 2005
Score: 94
Ripe and intense, with firm, minerally tannins that have a dry, dusty edge wrapped about the earthy dried currant and black cherry fruit that's deep and concentrated, ending with a longe, persistent finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2010 through 2017. 900 cases made. (JL)
Colgin IX Estate Napa Valley 2005
Score: 94
Serves up a rich, complex array of flavors, built around cedary oak, ripe currant and black cherry, with hints of leather and spice. Ends with a long, intricate finish that pulls all the flavors together. Firmly tannic, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2010 through 2018. 1,500 cases made.
