From 1992 to 2007, we were fortunate to source fruit from the hallowed Herb Lamb vineyard, a north facing site located on the lower slopes of Howell Mountain. We diligently selected only the top seven rows to vinify for the Colgin “Herb Lamb” bottling. The wine from “Herb Lamb” vineyard is consistently about charm and perfume, with notes of blue fruits and mint.
Jubilation is our newest wine in the Colgin Cellars collection. As our vine age matured, and a new parcel of Cabernet Sauvignon was planted we had the opportunity to craft a barrel selection of lots not destined for the single vineyard wines. This Cabernet based wine has been crafted for earlier enjoyment, while still maintaining the Colgin Cellars hallmarks of Perfume, Freshness, and Minerality. The inaugural Jubilation bottling will be released in late 2020 to our private clients, and future vintages are destined for select members of the fine wine trade.
