Colgin Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Tychson Hill Vineyard 2000

Score: 96
A gorgeous wine, ripe, smooth and harmonious, rich and spicy, with tiers of currant, vanilla, cassis and black cherry flavors woven together. Long, thick, persistent finish gushes with flavor. Plenty of smooth, ripe tannins add to its plush backbone. Best from 2004 through 2014. 400 cases made. (JL)
Colgin Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Herb Lamb Vineyard 2000

Score: 95
A thoroughly rich, plush and persistent wine loaded with plush currant and chocolaty flavors, with sage, earth, mocha and espresso scents adding to its complexity. Deeply concentrated, it nonetheless displays a remarkable sense of elegance and finesse and is deftly balanced. Best from 2005 through 2014. 350 cases made. (JL)
Colgin Cariad Napa Valley 2000
Score: 93
Enticing aromatics of blackberry, floral and mocha-laced oak, dark, ripe, rich and polished, with a tasty core of blackberry, plum and wild berry fruit. Smooth, with a long, spicy, focused finish. Tannins are well-integrated into the finish. Wonderful balance and harmony. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2004 through 2012. 650 cases made. (JL)
